# Welcome

Welcome to the ServiceChanger documentation.

ServiceChanger automates the user lifecycle in Microsoft environments: joiners, movers, and leavers. Account ready, the right access from the right attributes, and the laptop waiting on day one. We built it because that process runs on tickets, memory, and luck in most organizations. It should run on rules.

This documentation takes you from first connection to daily operation.

## Find your way

* **New here?** Start with What is ServiceChanger, then follow the Onboarding walkthrough to connect your tenant.
* **Want the mental model?** The five short pages under [Concepts](/servicechanger.com/concepts.md) explain attributes, the rule engine, and the safeguards. Read them once and the rest of the product makes sense.
* **Working in the product?** [Modules](/servicechanger.com/modules.md) covers each module in depth, and [How-to](/servicechanger.com/how-to.md) has short guides for the common tasks, including diagnosing why a user has the wrong groups.
* **Connecting on-prem AD or Exchange Online?** [Runbooks and connectivity](/servicechanger.com/runbooks-and-connectivity.md) has the setup guides, the permissions model, troubleshooting, and the full runbook scripts ready to copy.
* **Building an integration?** See the [API reference](/servicechanger.com/api-reference.md).
